premium furniture design service
Commissioning bespoke furniture for your home is a big investment. Sometimes it’s difficult to picture different design styles or how a new piece will look in your home. The ability to visualise different design options and how colour schemes will match your décor can help with the decision-making process. This is why I offer optional design and visualisation as part of my bespoke furniture build service.
Sometimes it’s the only way to feel fully confident a new piece of furniture is going to complement your home.
For a flat fee of £175 I will produce up to 4 different fully costed 2D designs for your unique furniture piece. Using my skills as a former graphic designer, I will supply your designs in digital and printed format. As part of the service I can source and attach swatches and samples to each design if this is part of your project.

If you have a question that’s not answered here, please drop me a line here.
When is the £175 design fee payable?
The £175 design fee is due in full at the time of commissioning the design work. The design process cannot begin until payment has been received.
Do I get my money back if I don’t like the designs?
The design fee is non-refundable. It takes a lot of research, creative thinking, problem solving and design time to produce a set of fully costed designs. I’m confident you will like them, but it is your choice if you choose not to pursue any of the designs.
Can I take your designs to another furniture maker?
The Odd Thing retains copyright of all furniture designs produced. With respect, I kindly request that you don’t commission me and take my designs to another furniture builder.
