How we get the information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
You have submitted an enquiry using our Contact form.
You have purchased a product from our online shop.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from SquareSpace web analytics.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting matthew@theoddthing.co.uk
(b) We have a contractual obligation.

What we do with the information we have
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
(a) Process and deliver an order that you have placed
(b) Respond to an contact form you have submitted
(c) Monitor and report on the performance of our website
How we store your information
Your information is securely stored within Shopify and our email provider.
We will store any data submitted for as long as you use the services and systems provided on the website, and may store it for an additional period of up to 3 years.
We will then dispose your information by deleting it permanently from all electronic mailing lists, electronic documents and mailboxes.
We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and we will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
